The Paul Ehrlich Institute carries out independent evaluations of rapid antigen tests in the laboratory in Germany. With a LoD value of 8, the HIGHTOP test is one of the best tests worldwide. The high sensitivity of the test makes it possible to identify people with a lower viral load as corona positive at an early stage. In simple terms, the LoD value (Limit of Detection) represents the lower detection limit at which a test will turn out positive. The lower the value, the more sensitive and therefore better the antigen test.
